Biography

Dr. Lev Gorfinkel is a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School in the pediatric stem cell transplantation department.  Dr. Gorfinkel's clinical interests are in bone marrow transplantation for non-malignant diseases, specifically hemoglobinopathies as well as treatment of chronic graft-versus-host disease.  In the lab, Dr. Gorfinkel's interests are in developing new, less toxic, conditioning agents for bone marrow transplantation to reduce the short- and long-term toxicities associated with stem cell transplant.
